Real-time 3D video effects for live production.

2005-2009
Role: R&D Engineer.

Collaboration with Grass Valley on GPU based 3D video effects core engine for their DICE product. At this time video effects were most of time 2D and performed through the use of FPGAs. We proposed to use from the shelf Quadro GPUs to perform such processings on HD streams with time/live critical constraints. During these three years I enhanced the 3DCast platform in order to provide GV with a complete real time compositing engine for their Digital Video Effects generator product named DICE. I also developped the high end GPU based 3D effects generator and extended the solution to Virtual Studios. I performed the technology transfers, during several stays in Nevada City, CA to provide DICE team with tutorials and perform system evolutions design.
