Automatic face rigging for VFX production

2015-2016. Role: project leader.

Development and prototyping of new algorithms and tools for automatic rigging of virtual characters. Especially MPC virtual human. The technique proposed to cleanup and match some high definition models acquired through photogrametry (light stage, mova, ..) or laser with a generic rigged human. Thus making possible to animate high definition real models. This work was previously done by hand for each scan by the artists. This exploratory project led to more a complex project with MPC Film (Jungle book teams), later used in production for several feature film.
